Firms unable to claim fines as tax deductions

The corporate fraud mess has finally reached a settlement after months of trying to come to an agreement. Ten of the most well-known Wall Street firms have agreed to pay $1.4 billion to settle the allegations that biased investment advice was issued during the tech stock boom. The settlement includes terms that the investment banks are unable to claim their fines as tax deductions or seeking reimbursement from insurance companies.
