Large American corporations are strongly supporting legislation to be voted on by the U.S. Senate that would revoke class action rules in every state and send class action cases to federal court. The corporations support this measure because they feel it would give them an advantage over consumers in federal court since it is harder to get a case approved for consideration. Federal judges are also considered more conservative in interpreting the law and crowded court dockets can result in delays for months and years.
